Your Questions, Answered

At Escambia Collision Center, we understand that being in an accident raises a lot of concerns — not just about your vehicle, but about safety, costs, and the repair process. Below are some of the most common questions we hear — and how we address them:

1. Is it safe to drive my car if it has significant body damage?

If you suspect that the damage has compromised your vehicle’s safety, we strongly advise not to drive it. Instead, we can arrange for towing and help you get a rental car while your vehicle is being repaired.

2. Do I need to get more than one estimate for repairs?

No — in fact, there’s no legal requirement for you to obtain multiple appraisals when you have collision damage. You are free to choose the shop you trust.

3. Can my insurance company force me to use one of their preferred repair shops?

No. You have the right to choose your repair facility. Even if your insurance provider suggests specific shops, you are not obligated to use them — and you can bring your vehicle to us.

4. Why do different auto body shops give different estimates for the same damage?

It’s common for estimates to vary. A lower number doesn’t always reflect the full picture — sometimes critical repairs or safety procedures are missing. If you’ve received another estimate, don’t hesitate to ask us for a detailed breakdown and direct comparison.
